How did you decide on your career path?
Commercial design always intrigued me due to the opportunity to work on a vast variety of projects. No building, client, and scope are the same, which leads to learning new things constantly. It has allowed me to find new ways to connect with my community and collaborate with my colleagues.
What is your favorite part of the design process?
The design development phase has always been my favorite part of the design process. After discussing with an individual or group about their hopes and dreams for a new space, we finally enter the phase to implement these hopes and dreams into reality. Seeing the spark in one’s eye of how to make that come to life is such a special moment to be apart of.
How are you creating vibrant communities through design?
Working with organizations who work towards bettering the community presents a unique opportunity to have a direct impact on how the community is functioning and perceived. Whether it be giving a space a quick refresh with paint and furniture or providing a brand-new space for the community to utilize.
