How did you decide on your career path?
I really enjoyed playing with LEGO blocks as a kid, and, as I got older, I found myself enjoying the construction aspect of games like The Sims. In high school we were given a choice between taking a keyboarding class or a mechanical drafting course. You can probably guess which one I picked, which led to a slew of other CAD-based courses and cemented my path to become an architect.
What is your favorite part of the design process?
The problem-solving aspect. There’s just nothing like the moment when the perfect design emerges and everything clicks into place.
Where is your favorite place to visit in the Midwest?
Omaha. There’s a lot to do there without feeling overcrowded or congested. Easily the best zoo I’ve ever been to and plenty of cool shops and restaurants, as well.
