After renting space in the same office building for over 40 years, FEH DESIGN’s Sioux City team was ready for a change of scenery. The firm considered several existing buildings as well as new construction options, however in 2017, an opportunity to purchase a former sports bar building became a viable option. The prospect of being in the vibrant downtown historic district was too exciting to pass up.
The open office concept was embraced by the team and became the core of the design. A portion of the company logo was enlarged to create the focal point wall behind the reception desk and in the entire workspace. Each station is furnished with Up-Lift desks to allow standing or sitting at work. Unique LED lighting creates fun patterns below the exposed duct work, giving the office a modern feel. The large existing windows creates a wonderful atmosphere to work in and provide a view of Sioux City’s skyline. FEH DESIGN’s new office is now a showpiece for clients, illustrating what the architects, engineers and interior designers can do.
