ELLIE WIGGINTON
Ellie is a Dubuque native with a niche for making spaces as unique as the people using them. When she’s not designing, you’ll find Ellie working on new recipes or adding to her collection of movie ticket stubs – admit one please!
How did you decide on your career path?
Growing up, I always wanted to be in a creative field, which led me to choose a major in interior design. My favorite college projects were in my commercial design classes, so I knew I wanted to be on a team where I could work on similar projects.
What is your favorite part of the design process?
Learning about the location of a project and the people who will use the building or space is really important to me, and so interesting, too! I also really enjoy space planning, because we get to work with the client to learn how they need their space to function.
How are you creating vibrant communities through design?
I am at the beginning of my design career, and I look forward to all the different ways I will be able to contribute to different communities through interior design.
What makes Dubuque a great place to live?
Dubuque’s natural landscape is very unique! Plus, it’s not a bad drive to either Des Moines or Chicago if you want to explore outside of the area.
