Tell us what made you decide on your career path … Having a close friend whose dad is an architect has certainly influenced my decision to become an architect. I have always enjoyed envisioning, designing, and creating things for as long as I can remember. As a child I took every opportunity to play with LEGOs, build complex models for school or just for fun, and draw various animals and cars at school… after finishing my homework of course. Ultimately, I think the reason I chose architecture is the inspiring moment you feel when you see the first line on a paper or that first piece of material you put together turn into something meaningful.
Tell us what your go-to snack is that you hide in your desk at work … I usually don’t keep snacks at my desk but if I were to have any, there is a very good chance that peanut butter and chocolate would be involved.
Tell us about someone that inspires you … I am inspired by anyone who is willing to go out of their way to help others and put others before themselves. My grandma was a living and breathing example of this and has a great deal on why this inspires me. She fought breast cancer for 12 years and ALWAYS went out of her way to put others before herself no matter the difficulty.
