FEH’s second phase of renovations to an old high school building on the university campus is home to the new Nursing Education Program space. Renovations on the third floor include spaces for two hospital style simulation labs with an observation/control room, a task trainer suite with 4 hospital bed/headboard stations and a lecture space, a procedure room for the study of individual medical tasks, several mock exam rooms and an assisted living simulation suite. Conference/debrief rooms and faculty offices make up the remaining space. The program requires cutting edge educational technology including pneumatically controlled synthetic humans for simulating medical emergencies and procedures.
