FEH Design developed a comprehensive master plan for Marshalltown Community School District’s outdoor athletic facilities, culminating in the renovation of the High School Stadium Complex. Key improvements included new tennis courts, widening the main field to accommodate both soccer and football, installing a new turf field, and reconstructing the 8-lane track in the school’s signature blue color.
The project also introduced a 2,600-seat grandstand with a press box, a 1,000-seat visitor bleacher, and new field event areas. The design incorporated advanced stormwater management, a welcoming gateway entrance, a shaded seating plaza, and a digital scoreboard. Additionally, an 8,000-square-foot FEMA-funded building was constructed, housing locker rooms, concessions, and a tornado-safe room. Infrastructure enhancements, fencing, and other minor upgrades were completed as part of this transformative project.
