FEH Design; a multi-disciplinary Architecture, Structural Engineering and Interior Design firm is searching for a talented, driven, experienced new team member for our Sioux City, IA office to serve as a project Structural Engineer for this office location.

In addition to traditional design experience, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in all levels of our services. These opportunities include working directly with the leadership team and firm members in all disciplines, supplemented by client and consultant interaction through focused project work in and out of the office. The Structural Engineer will work with the project managers and principals to ensure an appropriate technical solution and production strategy. Responsibilities include carrying out complex design assignments, participating in all phases of project design, coordinating with other members of the design team, utilizing effective, economical, and sustainable design techniques, and mentoring of younger staff.

FEH Design is searching for a qualified candidate who is a Licensed structural engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience with an accredited undergraduate or master’s degree. Experience should include design, design development, construction documents, contract administration, and construction observation visits. Skills in cost estimating, consultant coordination and client interaction are also desired. Qualified candidates should have the ability to understand and work within project scopes, budgeting and scheduling; have superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities; and possess a passion for engineering excellence, sustainability and high professional performance standards.

Candidates must also be able to demonstrate strong technical knowledge of current analysis and design software (especially utilization of the RISA design suite), as well as production software, including REVIT.
