DAWSON COBB
Dawson is a lifelong creative that believes every space has a story to tell. He enjoys creating narrative driven interiors that blend form and function. You’ll probably find him sketching some bold idea or exploring how form and color can transform a space.
How did you decide on your career path?
Growing up, I was always very creative and knew I wanted to expand on that passion with my career, which led me to the Interior Design program at Iowa State University! As I learned more about the impact design can create, I decided to focus on commercial projects and make a positive change for communities.
What is your favorite part of the design process?
I enjoy defining a design concept and finding ways to express it through the interior. This can be done with physical forms, materiality, texture, pattern etc. In the end everything comes together to create a cohesive project that brings the client’s vision to life!
How are you creating vibrant communities through design?
I’m just starting my career in design, but I look forward to creating spaces that improve people’s lives and make communities that much brighter!
Where is your favorite place to visit in the Midwest?
One of my favorite places to visit is Wisconsin! Lake Michigan has some great beaches and beautiful scenery. The cheese is good too!
