In the fall of 2016 the district engaged FEH DESIGN as their architect and referendum campaign facilitator. The bond vote was passed a couple months later in November 2016 and the project immediately went into design. This fast track project was completed in design and construction within 13 months of the referendum passing.
The 28,890 sf Middle School wing addition consisted of eight classrooms, staff offices, a special education classroom, a library expansion, computer lab, and distance learning lab, as well as a gymnasium with PE storage, a PE office, and locker rooms. New public bathrooms were provided in the addition Minimal extensive renovation work were required as part of this project, approximately 1,600 sf in the existing 2001 addition. A small section of the Elementary School was reworked into two offices and a small classroom.
