Tell us something unique about yourself that no one would guess … I am a sailor and a private pilot. I love navigating in the air and on water! Maps are amazing informational drawings, similar to blueprints!
Tell us what made you decide on your career path … I constantly think of ways to improve the spaces around me, including rearranging the furniture whenever my parents were out of the house. I also have fond memories of a two-week architecture camp that I attended in high school. We had lecture and studio every day, and a mock exam and team project due the last day.
Tell us about your favorite hobby outside of the office … I love spending all my free time working in our orchard.
April 2021: The board of directors of FEH Design promoted Karen Greiner, IIDA to associate principal.

Greiner graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design 1995. After college, she worked for architecture firms in Texas, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.

“I truly enjoy coming to work! Our group works well together. We communicate well, and we have a lot of fun!” said Greiner. “Having worked in other firms around the country, I really appreciate the management style, not only in our office, but throughout the firm.”
She is currently working on design projects for Dupaco Credit Union, East Dubuque Schools, Lake Geneva Public Library, and Galesburg Public Library.
